So many great things God has done since The Stillwater Quartet first took the stage in April of 2004! For two consecutive years, 2004 and 2005, the quartet gained the honor of receiving 1st place in the male quartet division at the North Carolina Singing Convention. In 2006, The Stillwater Quartet was named the Grand Champion at the convention! This achievement continues to open new doors and ministry opportunities for the group. Already a regional favorite, the group is planning even more exciting ministry events in the upcoming year.

"Though we have all been singing for the Lord for many years, it is still amazing to us just what He can do when we stay focused on his call for our lives", the quartet says.

The Stillwater Quartet consists of members Walter McLaurin, Mike Izzell, Lauren Izzell, and Chuck Furr. The quartet presents a tight, four-part harmony which produces a full sound very inviting and pleasing to the ear. Many of their friends in the southern gospel music industry comment that the quartet's blend is the result of their many years of experience coupled with the god-given talent of the group. "We are confident that God has brought us together to serve Him through this ministry, and any awards and accolades we may receive are the result of the One who joined us for His purpose".
